How To Use Traktor Pro 2 Only With Laptop Speakers
hey ive recently gotten into djing and am trying to set up some gear so i can start mixing
i used to use virtual dj but ive moved up to traktor 2 because it is a heap better and my controller is made for it
my setup is a 'numark mixtrack' controller, 3.5mm headphone output and hdmi output for my speakers, and of course a laptop with traktor 2 pro
SO MY QUESTION IS: how am i meant to route my audio settings properly for traktor pro 2 so i can play my music through my speakers and my cue through headphones
it was easy to set this up on virtual dj because i just selected 2 sound cards and chose my 'conexant' sound driver for headphones and hdmi output for headhpones
im having trouble doing this with traktor because it seems you can only choose one sound card. PLEASE HELP
ive been researching this the past couple of days and seem to be getting nowhere. ive also tried the 'asio4all v2' driver as recommended by most, but that doesnt work or im doing something wrong
thankyou anyone that can help

Feb 18, 2011 Your internal soundcard only has one stereo channel. You can either have headphones or your speakers. With S4 you have 2 stereo channels, one for headphones and one for main out. You can only select one of these devices at a time, hence the problem you are experiencing. I've been thinking about buying a Numark Mixtrack Pro II, but I'm not sure if I can use it properly with the setup I have now. I temporary live in NY, but back home I have big speakers with a RCA connection. I don't want to buy new speakers while living here, so I was planning on using my laptop's speakers for audio output.

How To Use Traktor Pro 2 Only With Laptop Speakers Free
I have traktor pro 2 installed and my hercules e2 controller works fine with it, all controls are fine but no sounds played through traktor play.
Under Audio setup i have the following settings:
Audio device: ASIO4ALL v2
Sample rate: 24000Hz
Latency: 512Then under the ‘Built in soundcard’ bit i have ASIO4ALL selected again. The only other choice being something called” Conexant 20561 smartaudio ( (Wassapi) (Shared mode))”
I have no idea what to do with input & output routing, but have had no luck with just guessing. could really use some help people. if you need any more info, let me know. thanks
On Audio Setup, select “ASIO4ALL” for audio device. Then, on Output Routing, select “Internal” for mixing mode, on Out Master select 1: Front Left, then 2: Front Right. Output Monitor should be 3: Back Left, then 4: Back Right.

So I’ve checked your controller the Hercules E2, and learned that it doesn’t have a built-in soundcard. And, the computer that you are connecting to is using a Digital-Out interface, which means your ordinary 3.5mm will not work with it. You will need a S/PDIF is a digital audio interconnect to RCA cable to be able to connect it to an external mixer or speakers.
Try using Conexant 20561 smartaudio ( (Wassapi) (Shared mode)) as your audio setup and use “internal” in your output routing select “anything” that is available on your drop down list and see if any sound is produced in your computer.
If it still doesn’t work, then your computer’s soundcard doesn’t support external audio routing, you may need to buy a DJ soundcard like one of these: http://www.digitaldjtips.com/2010/11/6-budget-dj-sound-cards/

3D 5.1 soundcards will work as long as you have two separate outputs. But, if you want to connect it to high-powered mixers and speakers, then I recommend buying a DJ soundcard from numark or native instruments. Cara download game cooking dash full version. That way there would be no distortion if you pump up the volume.
